Baloch Academy Of Humanities has turned 2 years old

From 01-05-2006 Baloch Academy Of Humanities, a virtual academy has started its academic activities in the field of Humanities. It should be noted that during these two years (01-05-2006 till 01-05-2008) of its establishment, we have received many emails in the form of article, note, criticism, and suggestion, in which we express our thanks to each and every of sender of such emails for their kind attention.

Most of the articles we received via email have been politically oriented news and not of academic type, that is why, we refused to publish them on this website, simply because our website does not deal with political news, rather deals with academic news and articles.

The structure of our website is based on the following nine headings: Academy, Debate & Analysis, Academic News, Contact us, Philosophy Science, Political Science, Economics, Social Science, and Natural Science, as well as, our publications on www.balochacademy.org or Baloch Academy Of Humanities are in two languages, English and Persian.

During these two years we could publish 82 articles, debates, and interviews in various fields. For example, in the section of Debate & Analysis, there are 20 kinds of debates and interviews published. In the section of Philosophy there are 12 articles, in political science 20 articles, in economics 4 articles, in social science 21 articles, and in natural science 5 articles, have been published so far.  

We have to confess that we have been very weak in publishing academic news and no attempt was made in this regard, however, are optimistic that in the future we may succeed in doing that.

In fact, from the third month of 2008 till today, we have failed to keep our website regularly up-to-date, while previously once in a week we used to publish articles without delay. The reason was our own busyness and involvement with other academic activities, but we will try not to repeat this again. Just for the information of our respected visitors, at present we have around 20 more articles either ready or under typing process which will be published on our website gradually.

Despite the fact that in our virtual world most visited sites belong to those sites which deal in news, our website has been visited considerably by our respected visitors all over the world e.g. over the last 1/5 year more than 20,000 times our website was visited by many. We have had most visitors first from Iran, England, India, America, and more than 60 other countries respectively.

As has been pointed already, the prefix "Baloch" in fact carries the identity only, without any political purpose, also the title "humanities" restricts our activities to social sciences.

With regard to the "your idea" section, we have to remind that we have not allowed anyone to insult another one or other groups, and if such a case happened we immediately have deleted insulting comments. In a very few cases (maybe one or two) unfortunately some of our unknown visitors have tried to attack the personality of others but such cases have been stopped timely. In events where, based on our own prediction, the debates which might have led into offensive discussions, debaters have been requested to slow down or pursue their debate calmly, otherwise better to stop such discussions, mainly because we do not believe in such an artificial and superficial freedom of speech that produces violence.

Let us remind you that considerable number of Iranian students participate and cooperate with this virtual academy. Indeed, without their constant support and assistance, this virtual academy may not survive in the virtual world. Therefore, we are very thankful for their time devoted for cooperation and assistance. Here, I would like to thank Amir Taheri for his close cooperation in designing this website, in revising and typing many articles.

In regard with our links, linking other sites does not mean we approve of their contents or policies or programs. We have deleted a few links, it is because we came to know that some of the sites and web logs which in the beginning have linked our site, later on have deleted our links without our knowledge, thus we too have deleted those links.
