University of Sistan & Balochistan: The International Conference on Iqbal Lahori: Celebrating his 132nd Anniversary [ 27  February  2010 ]

The International Conference on Iqbal  Lahori: Celebrating his 132nd Anniversary was held at the USB dated on February 24-25-26, 2010. This event was a joint collaboration between USB Indian Subcontinent & South Asia Research Institute and the University of Baluchestan, Pakistan. Dr. Maryam Khalili Jahantigh, The Conference Secretary, stated that more than 300 articles were received by the Conference Secretariat. Out of them 100 articles were accepted after final revision. She added that 40 University Professors from Pakistan, Tajikistan, India, Afghanistan, Turkey, Egypt and Tunesia participated in the Conference. She continued that during the opening ceremony four books were displayed from the Talpour Dynasty which were revised by the Indian Subcontinent and South Asia Research Institute: The complete works of Mir Shahdadkhan Talpour, The complete sonnets of Mir Mohammad Nasir khan Talpour, Khosro & Shirin Mathnavi (couplet poems) and Seifolmolook  Mathnavi of Badiojamal  Mir Soubdar Khan Talpour.  http://www.usb.ac.ir/NewsDetails.aspx?ID=328
