Optimization and Development in Sciences leading to technology is very vast topic. It is very difficult to cover all the aspect in this article because of so many limitations. Let us take the example of technology, now the big question is which optimization? It is for destructive purpose or for constructive purpose. Similarly optimization of science means which science? Is it optimization of mathematics1, statistics, economics2, chemistry or physics3, computer science4, medicine etc? In chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, Analytical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry or organic chemistry? Even in organic chemistry there are so many super specialization, such as optimization in organic synthesis, optimization in drug action and so on. Therefore in my opinion, really if we want to achieve the goal of optimization we have to pass through humanity or in short we can say “Real optimization of sciences and technology is passing through humanity”. If this important aspect is forgotten to achieve optimization in any field it is another steps towards materialism. As human being we have to progress spiritually as well as materialistically also. To bring such man power we have to bring drastic change in our education system. Because the educational system which is currently in vogue in our country in particular and rest of the world in general the emphasis is solely on the imparting of knowledge that is concerned with the academic subject included in the curriculum and no attention is usually paid to the development of child character and inner personality. As a matter of fact the result is a post graduate is the criminal, an engineer is corrupt and a doctor is involved in a noble profession may be a thief of kidneys. Moreover, there is corruption in anticorruption department. The Kothari Commission5 report published in 1966 laid the highest stress on need for moral and spiritual education. However all these recommendations are there on paper as a decorative piece but never implemented practically. The best method of bringing the value based education is to impart the knowledge of religion in school. If there is will there is a way. Doctor Ramji6 rightly pointed out that modern India which is moving towards industrialization and technology needs education that is based on spiritual, moral and social values. According to him the important spiritually moral and social values which forms part of Indian culture heritage are courage, truth, universal love, dignity of manual work service purity, courtesy, piece and joy. Same concepts are elaborated by Professor Rajinder M Kalra7 also. Unfortunately the foundation of sciences was laid down by scientists having “No God Concept”. In 19th Century this was fashion to say “No God” not only by scientist but also by a educated person. The height is such learned persons have accepted Darwin’s theory of evolution despite of having so many drawbacks and limitations, off course, there were so many reasons and historical facts for having this hatred between the scientist and religion. To know all these facts one can study the history of Great Britain of the Conflict Between Religion and Science8. I can not give all the details of that period because of the limitations of the article. In those days only philosophy of communism given by Karl Heinrich Marx accepted by so many countries and in fact a big super power came into existence. Eventually same theory was thrown in 70 years only and the same big power shattered in to pieces. Similarly Capitalism9 also will not give good results. Due to Darwin theory a wrong concept was developed among the human beings and a materialism seed was laid down. Man has come on earth as a man if this concept becomes clear then only we will respect humanity and real optimization of sciences will give benefit. We are accountable for all our deeds. Quran has narrated nicely this concept in surah Al-Baqr(2), Ayat 30-39.
Quran has narrated nicely this concept in surah Al-Baqr(2), Ayat 30-39.
(2:30) Just recall the time when your Lord said to the angels, "I am going to appoint a vicegerent on the Earth." They humbly enquired, "Are you going to appoint such a one as will cause disorder and shed blood on the Earth?)
(2:31) Allah replied, "I know what you do not know." After this he taught Adam the names of all things. Then He set these before the angels and asked, "Tell Me the names of these things, if you are right (in thinking that the appointment of a vicegerent will cause disorder)".
(2:32) They replied, "Glory be to You. You alone are free from defect. We possess only that much knowledge which you have given us. Indeed You alone are All-Knowing and All-Wise."
(2:33) Then Allah said to Adam, "Tell them the names of these things." When Adam told them the names of all those things, Allah declared, "Did I not tell you that I know those truths about the Earth and the Heavens which are hidden from you? I know what you disclose and what you hide."
(2:34) Then We commanded the angels, "Bow yourselves to Adam. "All bowed but Iblis refused to do so; he waxed proud and joined the defiers.
(2:35) Then We said, "O Adam, you and your wife, both dwell in the Garden and eat to your hearts' content where from you will, but do not go near this tree; otherwise you shall become transgressors"
(2:36) After a time Satan tempted them with that tree to disobey. Our Command and brought them out of the state they were in, and We decreed, "Now, go down all of you from here; you are enemies of one another. Henceforth you shall dwell and provide for yourselves on the Earth for a specified period."
(2:37) At that time Adam learnt appropriate words from his Lord and repented, and his Lord accepted his repentance, for He is very Relenting and very Merciful.
(2:38) We said, "Now go down, all of you from here. Henceforth there shall come to you Guidance from Me now and again: whoever will follow it shall have neither fear nor sorrow
(2:39) and whoever will refuse to accept it and defy Our Revelations they shall be doomed to the Fire wherein they shall remain for ever.
Similar concepts are further explained repeatedly in surah Araf (7) Ayat 11-25,surah Al-Hijr(15) Ayat 26,41,surah Al Isra (17)Ayat 61-65,surah Taha (20) Ayat 115-124 and surah sad (38) Ayat 71-85. The best example before us is of the last prophet Mohammed10 be peace upon him, who had practiced Quran in his life and a big revolution came in the society and in hardly 23 years only the society had developed materialistically as well as spiritually.
If human being realizes this concept then automatically he/she will achieve the optimization in all aspects of life, not only in science and technology alone.
